Our first stop on the way to Colorado was in Vegas. There is not a lot to do with kids on the strip in Vegas.

Aquarium at Mandalay Bay
And the M&M store. That's pretty much the extent of family-friendly fun in Vegas. The pool at our hotel was closed and the lions at MGM are only out during certain hours. Good thing this was a quick overnight stop.
So here are some pictures from destination #1, Steamboat Springs, CO.

Wes & I on the ski lift to go down the alpine slide

We made it down. So fun!

Dinner and a free concert in the park.

None of us had ever been to a Rodeo, so we decided to go after the concert. Very interesting.

At the Rodeo, the boys got tokens for a free gift at the local western wear store. They got cowboy hats and loved sitting on the horse outside the store.

Not recorded in photos: A lot of time swimming, relaxing around the condo, and wandering through the shops downtown. This was a delightful stop. Next stop: Kansas
