Driving out of the Rockies into Kansas is a little bit of landscape shock. I enjoyed seeing all the farms in Kansas, though. As we were driving through Abilene, KS we saw signs for Eisenhower's Library, so we made a spontaneous stop. I am so glad we did! Here is that portion of the trip in pics!

A cool old church across the street.
We stayed with our good friends, Brent & Melissa. They took us to a good BBQ place, because when you're in Kansas City you have to eat BBQ. We took a walk through a downtown artsy district. Of course there were fountains, of course the boys got wet, and of course they whined about how cold it was being wet and walking 10 blocks back to the car.
