Food, glorious food!

Cruises are famous for the 24-hour food availability. They're not joking! In case you're curious, here are some ASTOUNDING numbers for you. On an average 5 day cruise, the amount of food consumed is ridiculous! Here are some numbers.
2600 rack of lamb
2400 lb of prime rib
2400 lb of chicken
2000 steaks
50,000 shrimp
3200 hot dogs (who eats hot dogs on a cruise? seriously, people!)
1600 lb of baby back ribs
800 lb of ham
750 lb of salmon
1200 lb of pasta
3000 pizzas (This is one of the foods available 24 hours)
22,100 potatoes
10,080 bananas
2400 cantaloupe
2300 apples
999 pineapples
41,600 eggs
36,000 pieces of bacon
7500 gallons of milk
10,950 Danish pastries
5880 pancakes

This list goes on, but I think you get the idea. It really is quite guilt-inducing, isn't it?

What must that kitchen be like?

yikes! Must have been fun for you to have a break away from the kitchen, and yet to have such wonderful food to eat.
I am glad you were able to get away together.
