Lassiter vacation

I am having trouble getting pictures to post, so I'll just fill you in a bit. We had a lot of fun in Sacramento. On Wednesday we left home as the sun was rising and made it to Sacramento by early afternoon. On Thursday we spent the day in Old Sacramento wandering through the stores and exploring museums. The Railroad Museum was Wesley's favorite by far. After a quick and unique lunch at good old Round Table, we visited the Discovery Museum. Our original plan was to head to Medford, OR on Friday for another couple days of camping. After seeing that the forecast called for 110 degree heat, we changed the plan. None of us relished the thought of baking alive in a nylon oven. Bill's mom lives on the Oregon coast, which was declared to be the most pleasant weather in the nation. So, we were in the car for 12 hours in order to get to the Oregon coast where it is a balmy 64. It has been so nice to reacquaint ourselves with sweatshirts! It is beautiful here! Anyway, we'll post more as events occur. Tomorrow we're off to Crater Lake. Bill posted some pictures on his blog if you want to see them.

How's the rest of your trip going? You're probably rounding third, or something. I'm sure you'll be bringing home lots of stories to tell. Talk to you soon.
