You know someone who has had breast cancer. Here are the first six people in my life that I can think of.
Karen - survivor
Joel - brave cancer warrior who went Home.
Barb - survivor
Bonnie - brave adventurer who fought, travelled, and made it Home.
Carolyn - survivor and inspiration for this post
Julie - brave warrior resting and eternally healed at Home.
I know there are more, but their names are eluding me at this moment.
We've all seen the witty quips splashed across every product imaginable. "Save the TaTas", "i heart boobies", the strategically placed baseballs on a shirt declaring, "Save Second Base". These are attempts at raising awareness and funding research. But frankly, being on the sidelines makes me feel helpless & distant.
Rather than sitting helplessly by, join an army who is part of the solution.
The Army of Women wants YOU! (The image of an angry Uncle Sam pointing at you to recruit breast cancer research subjects made me giggle a snorty sound out my nose).
Their goal is to round up 1 MILLION people willing to be part of Breast Cancer research.
For information visit the Army of Women.
Go on. Click the link. You know you want to. Giving Back is the new black. Do it! Also, have a happy day.
