Heart of service

Today the men came to mow our lawn and try to get the mountain of weeds under control. On a side note, it is 100 degrees today! The boys and I went out and cleaned up all the yard toys so they could get straight to it. Once we came inside, I went to the sink and began to do the dishes. Wes followed me in, got a clean glass from the cupboard and filled it with ice water from the fridge. I was surprised when, instead of heading for the couch or table, he opened up the slider. Not being a fan of loud noises, he normally runs away from lawn mowers, vacuum cleaners, blenders etc. with his ears covered. He took the full glass of cool water out to the man with the weed whacker. When another man came around the corner with the lawn mower, he came in and did the same for him. "It sure is hot outside, Mom. Those guys wanted some water." Kids blow me away!

What a sweet heart. You have done well Carry, in training them.

Boys are funny aren't they. One minute they can be so kind and thoughtful, and we as Mom's are amazed. THEN the next min. they seem to be the total opposite and you sit back and wonder - " is this the same kid".
