A couple weeks ago, we had a lot of friends out of town at Family Camp. We weren't able to make it this year, but we had a small family campout close to home. VERY close. Bill pitched the tent in the back yard while the boys and I ran errands so they would be surprised when they got home. We had hamburgers, corn on the cob, s'mores, and sat out back in our camping chairs. It was such a fun night! The best part was everything we wanted was close at hand and when the boys woke up EARLY in the morning, they could go play in their room without disturbing those who like to sleep later than 6 a.m. on a Saturday morning!
